Africa Travel – What The Vast Continent Has To Offer

Africa is a big continent and each country differ from each other regarding attractions. This continent has a lot to offer, ranging from wildlife, marine life, insect life, birds, cultures, mountains, lakes, rivers, landscapes and other physical features. Depending on the interest of each visitor, you can choose a tailor-made budget travel from various operators or make your own. Tanzania is famous for the annual wildebeest migration in the Serengeti plains and the Ngorongoro conservation area which has sufficient green grass for the herbivorous. This is the greatest migration on earth and it includes the wildebeest, a large number of zebra, antelope and gazelle. Other animals include predators such as lion, leopard, cheetah and hyena.

The Okavango delta and the Linyanti wetlands in Botswana are the top tourist destinations in the country. The Okavango delta is a huge wetland and a home to abundant wildlife all the year-round. Visitors from various parts of he world tour this area to watch animals such as, buffalo herds, elephants, zebra, kudu, monitor lizards, water buck, warthog, wildebeest and different types of birds. There are many hippos and crocodiles spotted in this area. Unlike the Okavango delta, Linyati is a dry area ideal for game viewing between the months of May to July.

Similar to the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, the Masai Mara game reserve is the most famous park in Kenya. Hundreds of tourists tour this park to witness the annual wildebeest migration which consists of over 1.5 million wild animals. For ideal game viewing, a hot air balloon flight is available, but booking should be done early before travel. Other top destinations include; watching the pink flamingo birds in lake Nakuru, Amboseli national park and the Bogoria hot springs. A visit to the coast beaches is a must, where you will play various activities and swim in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean.

Both Rwanda and Uganda are famous for spotting the gorilla. Over half of the remaining gorilla population on earth are found in these two regions. The number of visitors allowed to see these primates is limited and, every person is recommended to follow all the rules and regulations given in order to maintain and protect gorilla. Other than the primates, you will also see other wild animals, birds and insects.

A travel to South Africa is also very incredible. This country has advanced infrastructure and many cities. There are various parks concentrated with wildlife, many wine farms and coastlines. Parents with young children are recommended to travel to South Africa where they can opt self drive giving them maximum privacy.

A travel to Africa will not be complete without climbing the two Africa’s peaks (Mt.Kilimanjaro and Mt. Kenya) which are located in East Africa.
